Here's the season to be jolly!
Also ive been having a lot of fun playing League lately. A new favourite is Ability power master yi, but ive been trolling as AP tryndamere. Playing silly with any champ i know how to play and lately ive been trying singed out.
My second singed game ever I killed people left and right while dying here and there. A brawl of the like I havent played in quite a while and I liked it. I think that this christmas season will see quite a few singed games.
Also my clan is slowly getting ready for our first official game. With all the people missing practice sessions and leaving the clan I dont have great hope, but at least we will be an experience richer. Lets hope we manage to pull a win out even with our limited preparations.

Owning nothing...
So lately ive been mixing it up. Some smurf action. Some gragas, some vlad, some shaco, some irelia & even more champions. Most of the time I end up with stats around 8-12/2-4/5-7... pretty standard carry stats in even games. But the games have been far from even. Ive been carrying or holding a lane and then at least one other lane has completely fallen and the feeded champs of that lane own our team to bits. This coupled with the fact that noone seem to want to play their role makes me wonder if I will ever win another game.
It also makes me question if I should try to assist my team and let my own turret die. Perhaps carrying is not as good as I though; it doesnt seem to help me win more games. I could probably go tank zilean and win as many games.
Guess I might be ranting, but winning once in a while would be nice.

The Urge for headsmashing.
Lately ive been having this strange urge to play sturdier characters such as Olaf (Brolaf), Garen and Nunu. Being in the thick of battle is something that is not my usual cup of tea since I mainly play ranged carries and caster, but playing these characters does bring a fresh perspective on the game and even though I do tend to play worse I like it more.
Perhaps in a few games Ill have learned enough to scare the crap out of my opponents when my norse shout fills the air and my axe comes flying.

The issue of tanking.
So lately ive been noticing how many of my games are lost due to the impact of the tanks in our and/or their team.
In fact Id say that almost 50% of my losses are due to our tank either not being sturdy enough (this could obviously be because of the rest of the team not killin/disabling enough of the enemies) or coming into fights completely wrong.
The obvious way to combat this would of course be to play tanks myself and try to salvage the situation myself. The problem is that I have a hard time paying attention to all the things that a decent tank should pay attention to. Maybe im wrong, but it seems that playing casters/carries are more about quick reactions and finding openings where as a tank needs to keep track of the map (map awareness is imo even more important for tanks and initiators) the opponents used skills, their hp, our hp, our used skills and so on. This is in addition to the normal required skills just to make the most of your own abilities (as in soaking damage, disabling other team members and protecting the squishies). Somehow the learning curve is just a little too steep for me and if Im forced into playing tank several games in a row it takes the fun away for me.

The start of a journey
So, here I am. Trying to use this blog to shed some light on my experience playing League of Legends, since its the one competitive game in a long while that has met my fancy.
Hopefully this will be a journey that shows me having a laugh as I rise to the mid-high elo's from the atrocious rating I possess today.
I am 27 years old with no experience in these type of games prior to LoL and a gaming background spreading from commodore/amiga/nes all the way up to modern PC's so it wouldnt be a surprise should my slow oldtimer brain and sluggish reactions prove to hinder this rise. I will however do my best to have fun regardless.
